Reliable engagement of plug connections

Reliable engaging of plug connectors and speech-based documentation in industry Screws were yesterday. Nowadays, production is automated and adhesive or plug connectors are used. In this context, the reliable documentation of work processes and in-line testing are very important.  
At the Hanover Fair 2020, the Fraunhofer IDMT from Oldenburg will present an intelligent acoustic sensor system that can be used for process and production monitoring in manufacturing and assembly. It recognizes whether a plug connector has engaged properly and documents the process from start to finish. This aids quality assurance and avoids expensive claims and complaints.    
Simple, secure and reliable documentation of important information – with automated speech recognition even in a noisy environment and with no need for an internet connection! The speechto-text documentation system developed by the Fraunhofer IDMT in Oldenburg can also save time and money. It allows the contact-free entry of data into existing systems too. For less interruptions in the workflow and minimization of security risks.

Language documentation in the industry

Condition Monitoring

The demonstrator shows how even the smallest irregularities can be detected and evaluated while a machine is in operation. The demonstrator features two ball screws, one of which is intact and one damaged. When the ball screws are moved, their location vibratory data is detected and displayed in the dashboard. In the event of damage, an order is sent to the repair service via a context-sensitive handling instruction.

2ndScin®

2ndSCIN® is used in the field of Smart Maintenance. It provides protection against emissions from production plants in cleanliness-controlled environments. Particle and outgassing sensors are used to evaluate maintenance requirements using artificial intelligence. The collected information on occurring particle concentrations, particle size ratios and time occurrence are automatically passed on to and evaluates by higher-level IT-supported, learning analysis systems.

Fraunhofer TESTED DEVICE® and CSM® are internationally renowned test marks for systems, equipment and materials that have been qualified with regard to their cleanroom suitability. The test procedures are carried out in accordance with national and international regulations. CAPE - Clean And Protective Environment

The CAPE® system is a tent-like cleanroom that can be used to create a cleanroom environment cost-effectively, quickly and flexibly. Its Size and system can be individually adapted to customer requirements. The functions can be adapted according to the respective application: The overpressure function for product protection, the vacuum function for environmental protection or the almost self-sufficient air circulation within the CAPE® system for product and environmental protection.
