As part of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, the largest organization for application-oriented research in Europe, the Fraunhofer Group for Production was founded in 1998. By now, 13 institutes and facilities bundle their know-how in this group and provide innovative solutions for German and international companies.
The range of services offered by the Fraunhofer Group for Production covers the entire value-added process and is guided by the latest findings in the fields of production, engineering and computer science. Research and industry are given the opportunity to work closely together in an interdisciplinary network.
The Group offers a wide range of technologies and services that prepare companies for the "production of the future". Our most important business area is contract research for industry and government.
